茶卡盐湖 Chaka Salt Lake

Menyuan Rapeseed Flower Fields, in Menyuan County, Haibei, Qinghai, cover 500,000 mu and are a leading northern cultivation area. Every July, endless golden blooms stretch for tens of kilometers, framed by Gangshika Snow Peak and the Haomen River, creating the spectacular “Hundred-Mile Flower Sea.” It is a prime spot for summer retreats and photography on the plateau.
祁连山 Qilian Mountains

The Qilian Mountains, straddling Gansu and Qinghai, consist of seven parallel ridges and are called “Tianshan” in Tibetan. As a key ecological barrier and water source in northwest China, their main peak, Tuanjie Peak, rises about meters. Stretching roughly km and linking the Silk Road, the range features glaciers, forests, and vast grasslands, offering both stunning landscapes and rich ecological value.
手抓羊肉 Hand-held Mutton

Qinghai Earth Hotpot (locally “Guozi”) is a traditional Qinghai dish dating to the Western Han. Cooked over charcoal in a copper pot, the clear, rich broth combines beef, lamb, and pickled vegetables. Layered meat, fried balls, potatoes, fish, and tofu make a warm, savory hotpot popular at local gatherings and festivals.
