Shenyang Imperial Palace, or Shengjing Palace, in central Shenyang, Liaoning, was built in 1625 by Nurhaci and Huang Taiji before the Qing entered China. One of only two surviving imperial palaces in China, it blends Manchu, Han, and Mongol architectural styles and is a UNESCO World Heritage site and national first-class museum.
大连老虎滩 Dalian Tiger Beach

本溪水洞 Benxi Water Caves

丹东鸭绿江 Dandong Yalu River

Panjin Red Beach, in Zhaosuohe Town, Dawa District, Liaoning, is a 5A-level tourist site known for the world’s largest and best-preserved Suaeda wetlands. Every autumn, the plants turn red like a vast carpet, contrasting with the reed marshes and rare waterfowl, forming a unique “Red Coastline” and earning the nickname “Wonder of the World.”
麻辣拌 Mala Mix
麻辣拌是源自辽宁抚顺的特色东北小吃,起源于20世纪90年代,由麻辣烫改良而成。将煮熟的土豆、海带、豆皮、丸子等食材沥干水分,拌入特制麻辣调料、白糖、陈醋、蒜末及花生碎。无汤、味道浓郁,口感丰富、香气扑鼻,风味独特,深受大众喜爱。
Mala Mix is a specialty snack from Fushun, Liaoning, originating in the 1990s and adapted from malatang. Cooked potatoes, kelp, tofu skin, and meatballs are drained and tossed with a spicy sauce, sugar, vinegar, garlic, and crushed peanuts. Soup-free and richly flavored, it is loved for its bold taste, texture, and aroma.
大连下锅烂 Jiaomo Seaweed
大连“下锅烂”是当地一种季节性特色海藻,因入水即熟、口感鲜嫩软烂而得名。每年冬春季节上市,常与蚬子、海蛎子等海鲜搭配,制作成“下锅烂疙瘩汤”。此菜鲜美可口、营养丰富,是大连独具特色的家常美食。
“Xiaguo Lan” is a seasonal seaweed from Dalian, named for its tender texture that cooks instantly. Available in winter and spring, it is often paired with clams, oysters, and seafood to make “Xiaguo Lan Dumpling Soup.” Fresh, flavorful, and nutritious, it is a distinctive home-style dish of Dalian.
葱烧辽参 Braised Sea Cucumber with Scallions
葱烧辽参是辽菜(辽宁菜)经典名菜,选用辽东半岛产海参与大葱烹制,以葱香浓郁、海参软糯、汤汁醇厚为特色。2018年入选《中国菜》辽宁十大经典名菜,其通过“以浓攻浓”技法,将炸至金黄的葱段与海参烧制,营养丰富,是高档宴席菜肴。
Braised Sea Cucumber with Scallions is a classic Liaoning dish, made with sea cucumbers from the Liaodong Peninsula and cooked with scallions. Known for its rich aroma, tender texture, and savory sauce, it was named one of Liaoning’s top ten classic dishes in 2018. Using the “strong-on-strong” technique, scallions are braised with sea cucumber, creating a nutritious high-end banquet dish.
